Sagittarius Season 2023
After the Scorpion has hypnotized you into contemplating your physical mortality, the Archer comes through to uplift your spirits. During Scorpio season, we were invited to face any of our pains, wounds, and fears with courage and brutal honesty. In doing so, we transmute those intense emotions to grow stronger and focus on the things, people, and experiences that truly matter in this life. Facing the hard, cold truths of life isn’t an easy task, but if you were brave enough to traverse through Scorpio’s realm, then it’ll make navigating Sagittarius’ festive season that much more enjoyable.
Sagittarius season invites us to:
Learn something new
Break up our routines
Explore all that the world has to offer us
Expose ourselves to alien territory and exotic cultures
Experiences that expand one’s perspective through gathering unfamiliar experience is rocket fuel for Sagittarius. These strategies light up the Archer’s evolutionary goal: to cultivate faith.
In medieval times, astrologers believed that Sagittarius had three destinies: the gypsy, the student, and the philosopher. They also arranged the three archetypes in that specific order going from good, better, and best. If we dispel the notion that one destiny is better than another, then we can gain value from each one. Each destiny depends on one another.
The Gypsy (or Explorer or Pilgrim) expands his/her model of life physically. Through travel, the Explorer is exposed to foreign ways of thinking and living.
The Student broadens his/her horizon intellectually. Sagittarius loves to explore the world, but for most people, going to a different country is a luxury, therefore, the Student can travel through the pages of books. Moreover, instead of going to a foreign land, the Student can still gain precious insights by having conversations with people who are different than them in one way or another.
The Philosopher connects the dots of life intuitively. Through contemplating all the experiences gained from the previous two archetypes, the Philosopher draws meaning from them.
This triad of destinies–Gypsy, Student, and Philosopher–helps us learn the different strategies we can take during the next four weeks.
To enrich your zest for life this Sagittarius season, try out one of the Archer’s mind-stretching activities:
Buy a new book
Take a new class
Learn from someone different from you
Open your mind to someone that you wouldn’t think can teach you anything or someone who you’re not accustomed to talking with
Travel somewhere new
Go on an exhilarating journey
Sit on a mountaintop (literally or metaphorically)
Allow the stillness, silence, and openness to expand your view of life
Celebrate being alive
The beginning of the holiday season is associated with Sagittarius for a reason
Each zodiac season presents us with a different opportunity to connect with life. And with Sagittarius season, the invitation is to deepen our faith that there is meaning to being alive.
Happy celebrations,
Andre
