Aries Season 2024

Man oh man, the beginning of Spring has a star-studded cast of transits. We have eclipse season, Mercury Gatorade, and the biggest event of the year, the connection between Jupiter and Uranus. I’ll quickly summarize these three transits to get a feel for what’s coming up before we dive into the Ram’s invitation.

Lunar Eclipse in Libra

  • Mar 25, 2024 @12 AM PST

    • Implement ways to release tension in order to not allow stress to accumulate.

    • Make sure the relationships in your life are balanced.

    • Have courage to breakthrough fears or self-imposed limitations.

    • Release the need to be overly courteous or insincere and instead assert your honesty.

Mercury Stations Retrograde in Aries

  • Apr 1, 2024 - Mar 25, 2024

    • Three and a half weeks of reviewing, reflecting, and re-calibrating on the ways we assert ourselves, go after our desires, and push ourselves past our self-imposed limitations.

The Jupiter-Uranus Conjunction

  • Apr 20, 2024

    • This is technically happening during Taurus, but we’re already feeling this transit.

    • We’ll be feeling this a month before and after the actual connection.

    • Can we believe in ourselves even if it goes against the status quo?

    • We can have a victorious breakthrough in a specific area of our lives (depending on where you have Taurus in your chart) if we’re willing to roll the dice when it comes to honoring our hearts.

Now that we’ve talked a little about the bigger events for Aries season, let’s discuss what the Ram is all about.

Sun in Aries

  • Mar 19, 2024- April 19, 2024

    • Be courageous

    • Stand up for yourself or the defenseless

    • Do something that scares you

    • Exert your energy through a physical activity

    • Go on an adventure

    • Stretch your limits

    • Take aligned action on your intentions

    • Advocate, champion, defend for what you believe in

Pisces season ended in a pretty Piscean way: on Mar 17, 2024 (the last weekend of Pisces) the Sun partnered up with Neptune (the modern ruler of Pisces) in the sign of the Fishes, creating a prime atmosphere for tapping into our mysticism, intuition, and imagination. These energies also presented opportunities for escapism, idealism, and feeling like we were moving through an endless cloud of fog if were trying to be analytically productive. In other words, the last weekend of Pisces season was optimal for right-brain activities over left-brain ones. As always with the laws of astrology, there’s a higher ground and shadow path the planetary alignments create, it’s up to you to decide which road you’re going to take.

The night before the Sun-Neptune conjunction, I watched an hour-long seminar of Dr. Joe Dispenza, a world-renowned spiritual teacher, explaining his transformational technique ‘Tuning Into New Potentials’ where he guides you on how to cultivate the version of you that thinks and feels like you already are the person that has the things you desire. I read his book ‘Becoming Supernatural’ a handful of years ago and was practicing his technique, but I didn’t stick with it.

Mindfulness meditation is a practice where one focuses his or her attention on the present moment by anchoring oneself to a point of concentration like the breath. This style of meditation is what I was trained in college through a research program conducted by the psychology department. To me, being mindful for 20 minutes was way easier than doing Dr. Dispenza’s 7-minute breathing technique followed by his 45-minute guided meditation, and that’s why I wasn’t ready for this longer format meditation back then.

At the beginning of Pisces season, I intentionally decided to deepen my spirituality by reading the ‘Untethered Soul’ and logging more hours in meditation. Synchronistically, Dr. Dispenza’s YouTube video came up on my feed right as this past mystical weekend arrived and it inspired me to change my style of meditation.

Part of the ‘Tuning Into New Potentials’ meditation is letting go of the elevated state of the version of your life that you are calling in. It’s not about being in a state where you drift off into fantasy land from a place of, “I can’t wait to be in a better place because the current state I am in sucks.” It’s about training your body and mind to already enjoy the present moment. Because when we desire something, like a partner, clothes, job, experience, etc., we’re craving the emotions that come from having those things. So the key is to feel the emotions and think the thoughts now, so you can magnetize those objects into your life. But we do need to let go of focusing on those outward desires because obsessing over them will just push them farther away.

Do you remember when you got into a new relationship, people started coming out of the woodwork for you? Like, “Where were ya’ll when I was single?!” It’s because your body and mind already felt whole and felt the love from being in a relationship, so others were attracted to that vibrant energy emanating from your core. You also had let go of the idea of dating other people because you already felt complete which supercharged your attraction. It’s when we desire an object so much that we repel it. It’s this fine balance of being intentional and surrendering that creates the life you desire. You set an intention to call in that desired thing, but then you release it and enjoy the present for what it is—a gift.

In the northern hemisphere, the zodiac seasons align so beautifully with the natural seasons of Earth. I feel this is in part of how our ancestors were inspired by the meaning of the signs. Pisces season is the third and final sign of Winter. The end of Winter marks a time to stay inside because it’s still cold out, but we know we’re coming to the end of a cycle and there are brighter and warmer times ahead. Pisces season invites us to go inside of ourselves to remind us that we are consciousness having a human experience and is also a period where we can let go and have faith that no matter what happens, nobody or nothing can control our happiness, because we are the creators of our own reality, creating from the inside out.

Now that Spring Equinox has arrived, we have more daylight, the days are getting warmer, and there’s life blossoming everywhere. Simultaneously, now that the Sun has transitioned into Aries, there’s more of a sense of adventure and pep in our step. Pisces teaches us about letting go, but Aries is motivating us to get after it.

Aries represents the union between desires and intention. In a word, freedom. Symbolized by the Ram, Aries’ energy is raw, primal, and assertive. The invitation for Aries season is to be courageous to go after the things we want. Hopefully, during Pisces season, you took the time to contemplate what really matters in this life, because now that the season of the Ram has arrived, we can take action on what we truly desire.

Having courage isn’t about being fearless. It’s about doing the things that we want to do, even if we’re scared, but still moving forward anyway. In this process, you exercise your courage muscle and get a little more confident each time you conquer your fear.

You’ve probably heard the motivational quote, “How you do one thing is how you do everything.” Let’s say you’re a Virgo Rising and the Sun in Aries is transiting through your eighth house, the house of sex, death, and the occult. For you, you’re here to be brave about facing life’s most intense subjects by making the unconscious conscious. What can help you face these potential fears or triggers is funneling the Solar Aries energy through sprinting uphill, taking a martial arts class, or any physical activity. In doing so, you empower yourself and that courage muscle bleeds into moments when there is a leak in your unconscious mind regarding your expiration date. Instead of suppressing these intense thoughts and feelings, you face them like a brave warrior faces their enemy dead in their eyes. Although the glimpses you’re receiving about how much time you have left aren’t your enemy, they are there to light a fire under your ass to focus on things you truly want to do in this lifetime. By funneling the raw and primal Aries energy through physical exertion, you can take that built-up assertiveness to the area of your life this Ram season is inviting you to face.

In summary, Aries season invites you to be courageous. Do things that scare you. Stand up for yourself or others. Stretch beyond what you think your limits are. Go out on an adventure. Move the body. Don’t allow others to tell you how to live your life. Feel the fear and do it anyway. Don’t chicken out.

If you don’t hone the Ram’s energy, then its shadow frequency of anger, volatility, and attracting unwanted stress will come out. The Ram wants to be free so don’t allow others or your own fears get in the way of accomplishing what you set out to do.
